May flew by, just like that. People say, if you are enjoying what you do, time goes faster. That’s exactly how I felt with May.
It was a month filled with meaningful rooms, powerful conversations, and energizing opportunities to support women leaders in stepping into their brilliance.
I had the privilege of facilitating two #IAmRemarkable workshop, presenting workshop at the Women in Tech Global Conference, organizing International Coaching Week activities, presenting another workshop there, hosting a full-day Women in STEM Leadership Accelerator Lab during Toronto Tech Week, attending two Asian Heritage Month celebration events, and participating in a charity golf event in support of Sunnybrook Foundation raising fund for Cancer research.
As I reflected on the month of May, one theme kept coming back to me:
Visibility is not about being seen for attention. It is about making your impact recognizable.
For many women leaders, especially in STEM, visibility can feel uncomfortable. We may minimize our wins, minimize our self-promotion. We may tell ourselves, “The work should speak for itself.” But I see again and again in my coaching and leadership work:
Your work cannot speak for itself if the right people do not understand the value behind it.
Visibility is not vanity. Visibility is leadership. It is how your ideas gain traction, how your contributions become remembered, how others learn what you stand for, and how you create influence beyond your title.
This is why spaces like #IAmRemarkable matter. They remind us that self-promotion is not about arrogance. It is about evidence. It is about naming the impact we have already created, so we can open doors for ourselves and for those coming after us.
This is also why leadership conversations, community events, conferences, and accelerator labs matter. These rooms give us the chance to connect, strengthen our voices, and create breakthroughs, not just for ourselves, but for the teams, organizations, and communities we influence.
My 2026 mantra is Connection, Strength, Breakthrough, and May brought that mantra to life.
Connection happened in every room where women shared stories, challenges, and possibilities.
Strength showed up when leaders named their achievements, challenged old narratives, and supported each other.
Breakthrough emerged when taking actions build confidence and visibility with ripple effects.
So as we step into June, I invite you to reflect:
Where are you still waiting for permission to be visible?
Maybe it is speaking up in a senior leadership meeting.
Maybe it is sharing a recent accomplishment.
Maybe it is applying for a bigger role.
Maybe it is asking for sponsorship.
Maybe it is finally naming the value you bring instead of hoping others will notice.
You do not need to be louder to be more visible. You need to be clearer about your contribution., your leadership values. the impact you want to create.
Show up in rooms you are ready to step into. This month, I encourage you to choose one visibility action.
Share a win. Reconnect with a sponsor. Post a thought leadership insight. Ask to lead a strategic conversation.
Introduce yourself to someone in a room you want to grow into.
Say yes to an opportunity before you feel 100% ready.
Because visibility is the bridge between your brilliance and your next level of impact.
